Pros

Incredibly diverse mix of people on the sales floor, generally a great bunch.

Cons

Where to begin... Constantly changing targets/commission structure, to make sure they earn more and the staff earn less. Don't care at all about their staff, I've seen people go from being sales superstars to sacked in less than 2 weeks. Senior management/directors are clueless when it comes to people management, will offer loads of empty promises but never deliver. Commission used to be almost 20% on some deals... now people are struggling to earn 5%. Unrealistic KPI's HR/Recruitment function is there to get bums on seats, these guys will hire more or less anyone. The only way to progress is by being part of the "clique" or if your a woman, doing "favours" for senior male staff. Racism is rife within senior management. Training system is awful, its almost as though they don't know their own business.

Pros

- Amazing preparation and induction, you truly learn a lot of useful skills. - Social environment. - Amazing events with free food! - Inspirational backstory of the company - people seeking to start their own businesses can get inspired.

Cons

- Micromanagement - Depending on the team you are placed in, you may have a good time or you may not. Sales Managers are great, but you may be placed in a team where the team isn’t run by a Sales Manager but rather just a “more experienced salesman”. This individual may run his team very badly by applying a lot of pressure on you. Pressure is normal in a sales environment, but you can definitely see the difference between the teams being run by Sales Managers and an “experienced, successful but borderline sociopathic salesman”. - Extremely stressful work/life balance - employees will know what I mean when I say Sunday evenings make you nervous when you come to work. (Depending on which team you are in). My “team-lead” expected our team to spend more hours outside normal work hours (8am-5:30pm) at home to generate leads, so realistically you’re work pattern is more like 8am-10pm (cancelling out travel back home and dinner). Keep in mind - this was only applicable to the team I was in due to our sociopathic “team-lead” - other teams’ Sales Managers would allow for lead gen during early and late hours of the day so they saw way more success and happier sales executives. In my team, if you did not spend the previous night generating 50 fresh new leads, you would be told to leave the office. - Basic Salary is low, I did not notice until I left. - You need to pay for tools that allow you to generate leads (phone number/email grabbers) from your own pocket. If not, they tell you to create infinite new accounts to access the 5 free emails/numbers you get which is just very messy.

Pros

Great commissions if you work hard.

Cons

Toxic positivity. CEO micro-manages. Hard sales tactics. Work hard, play hard, we are family mentality (family, really?)
