Pros

I’ve really enjoyed my time on the content team at Inkitt. The work itself is genuinely fun. The content is kinda crazy in the best way and definitely not what you think of as typical “corporate” work, which makes it really fun to spend your days building and shaping these stories. We’re working in a genre that gives people around the world a cozy escape from hectic lives, and it feels good to know the work actually resonates with people. There’s a lot of trust and creative ownership here. If you have ideas, you’re encouraged to run with them, and things move quickly from concept to execution. The team is smart, collaborative, and supportive, and I’ve learned a ton in just over a year.

Cons

This is not a slow or predictable environment. There are intense stretches where expectations and timelines are high, and the pace can feel demanding, especially around launches or big pushes. It’s exciting work, but definitely not low effort.

Pros

Working on the content production side at Inkitt honestly feels like being at the forefront of a new era in media. If you love storytelling, movies, and building something that hasn’t existed before, this is an incredibly exciting place to be. I get to work on so many fun projects. Ideas move fast. You’re trusted to make creative calls, experiment, and push boundaries instead of waiting months for approvals. Being able to say “we’re making this” and then actually making as quickly as we do, is SO rare in media, and it’s one of the most energizing parts of the job. The team is exceptional. Talented, ambitious, funny, and deeply invested in the work. It genuinely feels like everyone is here because they want to build something great, not just collect a paycheck. Collaboration is real, and when things get intense (which they do), people show up for each other. You learn a ton, very quickly. The pace forces you to level up, take ownership, and think beyond your role. If you want to grow fast and be part of innovation in media, this is a special place.

Cons

This is not a slow or easy job. The workload can be heavy, timelines can be intense, and things move fast. There are periods where it’s all hands on deck, long days, and juggling a lot at once. Because the company is building and scaling, processes aren’t always perfectly defined. You often have to figure things out as you go, which can be challenging!!

Pros

At least the pay comes on time, and I managed to survived despite being stretched beyond capacity.

Cons

The workload was relentless and exhausting. Task piled up faster than I could handle, and the pace left no rrom to catch my breath. Lunch breaks became a luxury I could not afford, and most of the day was spent chained to my desk just trying to keep up.
