It’s important for us to build a company culture where people feel empowered and motivated to do their best work. This is an ongoing effort that we will continue to work on for years to come as the work is never fully done. We aspire to reach higher standards, and will always work hard to improve! In response to some of the comments made: - Like most of startups, its true that working at Inkitt isn't a 9 to 5 job. It's 100% fair that startup working culture may not be for everyone, and we are now improving our messaging during the recruiting process, being better at very intentionally setting clear expectations. At the same time, Inkitt also has really big ambitions (as you mentioned, we aspire to become the Disney of the 21st Century). We aren't looking for a quick exit - rather we are truly trying to build an industry transforming company, and we aim to attract team members who are interested in becoming part of that. - Meanwhile, our employee churn rate is actually very level with industry standard. Further, looking back 6 months, Inkitt was one of the few companies who have not had to do big systematic layoffs, as so many tech companies are having to do. We have taken a hyper-responsible approach to how we manage our runway, and to improving unit economics. In doing so have positioned the company well to navigate this turbulent market. - We do agree that we could do a better job communicating the meaning behind our vision of becoming "the Disney of the 21st Century," and how it translates to each Inker’s role. A recent engagement survey we ran revealed that the majority of the company had a good understanding of our vision and mission. At the same time, many employees had questions on *how* their work was leading us in this direction. It became clear that as a company we need to improve giving more context to help team-members connect the dots. Thank you for reiterating this feedback— it’s something we are working on!
