      Great energy industry opportunity for Chicago job-seekers

      If you want to live in Chicago and work at a serious player in the energy field, this is one of the only games in town Large breadth of the business enables you to work on big projects and a huge portfolio Tons of opportunity to do a lot of big things and a get a lot of experience Lots of very smart people Business is really doing well lately and experiencing fairly massive growth

      Cons

      Salaries and bonuses are not comparable to Houston/NY Same senior management for 10+ years - stale management culture, feels very 80s/90s Entrenched culture of "if you're not at your desk from 8-6 then you're not working hard" - no ability to work from home or flex time Hire tons of young people but can't retain talent - lack of flexibility and poor raises/bonuses drive people out

      Pros

      This company promotes innovative thinking and rewards hard work. Great team environment and employees have great attitudes. There is a great opportunity for growth if you work for it. Good pay and benefits right off the bat.

      Cons

      Sometimes there is a lot asked of employees where sacrifice of time may be asked of you. Tend to run some individuals thin if they are great employees, but if you have the work ethic, it pays off eventually.
