Pros

Remote work, free health insurance

Cons

The company has performed lay offs every year since 2018, and expects the remaining (limited) employees to pick up work of the others who were let go with absolutely zero extra compensation. It is an expectation, non-negotiable and it is delivered under the guise of "we are a family", when in fact, they do not value their employees, but don't mind exploiting them. Zero job stability, difficult upper management to work with, no compensation for extra unexpected work load, extreme favoritism habits by management. And by extreme, I mean *extreme*. It is blatant nepotism and it is the sickness at the core of the company. It trickles down from the very top -- the Upper management who are in charge of the lower floors are related to the owners of the company, and will never be removed from their positions because of this. Since they have such cemented job security, they will (and do) treat their subordinates as replaceable, unimportant children. Multiple times, employees are pulled into meetings and literally screamed at by Upper Management if productivity wavers, and will retaliate with coldness/seclusion if you go to HR with your concerns. Many, many times, we were discouraged from going to HR at all. It does not matter how well you perform -- you will be removed from employment if you are not one of the favorites. Hard workers will be let go and familiar, extroverted faces will be kept. The HR team replying to comments has stated they have grown the careers of 60% of their teams and prefer to higher/promote internally, but I personally was an outside hire for what could have been an easy promotion from the inside. They spend money to hire outside applicants so they can keep their work force stagnant, instead of hiring from the inside and filling the entry positions.

Dear Former Employee: Thank you for the feedback. Five years is a long time and we appreciate your commitment. We are glad that you felt our benefit package was strong as we do our best to ensure our employees receive quality in the benefits we offer. We would like to discuss with you if you ever reported poor management and if so, what was done after the reporting? It is imperative to voice these frustrations (even in confidence) so HR can fix any issues there might be. Many of our leaders have come to Jeunesse with lengthy years of management experience and we also look to hire individuals who align with our company culture. If there is a problem with the way someone manages, it should be brought to HR’s attention so we can rectify that right away. If you are open to connecting offline; please let us know. We wish the best wherever you landed.
