Pros
The best reason to work for K-C is to get experience in outsourcing to foreign countries and understanding how you can become a guider vs. a doer.
Cons
The performance rating system that they used was so time consuming that any gains that the upper echelon was sold on went out the door and then some. The system consisted of 9 boxes that you could be placed in. Box 1 meant you were a bad employee, oops I mean you had opportunities, and box 9 meant you were the cream of the crop. The kicker was each box had set percentage people that had to fall in them. At the end it all still boiled down to whether or not your manager liked you or not. Watching the government trying to manage today’s crumbling economy reminds all to much of Tom and upper management of K-C.
