Pros

More than fair benefits, including med/dental/Educational Reimbursement. Ample opportunity for career exploration in the 'good old days' but not so much anymore. Unless you are willing to uproot your family every so often there is little opportunity for job growth.

Cons

The 'new and improved' Performance Management System and forced ranking. It's still all about 'who' you know, not 'what' you know. KC used to be much more family oriented and there were supervisors and team leaders who actually cared about their teams development. Now, every decision is political. KC lost some of it's best employees to 'outsourcing' and many others jumped ship before they could be cut.

Pros

It's a great company that has a very defined organizational culture. They encourage all employees to follow the same goals and the whole company is very well aligned. They're also very commited to participate in the communities where they have their products, by helping to the environment with the modern plants that do not contaminate that much as others; they worry about all the waste that comes out of production and recycle all the paper that is thrown out in the offices, in order to use it to produce more toilet paper, napkins, paper towel, etc. And the best part for me of working in Kimberly Clark was that they keep always a fluent communication between management and employees, and there are no barriers between senior management and regular employees. You can just enter into their office and talk to them anytime you need.

Cons

At least in my country, the salaries where not that good, but somehow they compensate that by giving you additional benefits like private health insurance, they pay for your car insurance, they give you big discounts in the products of Kimberly Clark, and once a year, when the sales and profit goals of the year are accomplished, they take the whole commercial area to a trip to the caribbean, where they have a convention but also celebrate the results.
