Pros

50/50 on the people you meet.

Cons

Higher ups do not actually give a crap about you. I worked there for over 6 years have spent most of my life there. The working conditions are horrific at times. For a company that promoted team work that is a ton of lies. Everyone looks out for themselves. Everyone around you is looking for the best way to step on your neck to get in your spot. The shelf life of a manager is 6 months to a year if you kiss the GM butt. Getting promoted at a location is a glorified popularity contest and not for the actually work you do. Healthy way of life is crap. I spend 6-8 months working 65-70 work weeks and no one EVER checked on me or asked if I need anything. I wasn’t eating or sleeping. My higher up actually knew I was doing this and turned a blind eye and never helped. On top of many many other reasons this place is a horrible place to work it is a safety hazard. They turn a blind eye to harmful problems. If it’s not not the main gym floor forget about getting it fix. They spend so much money or the little things and when it comes to actually health issues forget about it. Leaving this unhealthy work environment was the best thing I could have done for my health.

Pros

My co-workers have become great friends. It truly feels like a community in the club. The members for the most part are very pleasant.

Cons

Hard work is truly not recognized. The compensation changes regularly and somehow it never seems to favor the employees. The hard work from in club leadership helping the company recover from Covid is met with no appreciation. This new Concierge Position is one of the silliest knee jerk reactions I can ever recall from a company. Making sales taboo and thinking that staff standing around like Walmart greeters is going to improve revenue and retention is asinine. Truly an idea from someone tasked with cutting cost as the company attempts to move public.

Pros

There a no pros unless you are extremely desperate for health insurance but then therapist have to work 32 hours a week!

Cons

Numerous people including myself have had multiple mess ups with our checks. I had at least 4 wrong checks in a year! They literally shorted me 900 Dollars on my last paycheck. When I got it over a week later I contacted employee relations and filed a report FOUR times. Not one person from lifetime got back to me. I rightfully asked them to send me a 65 dollar check for the late fee I accrued from the late money. So a multi-million dollar company not only gives bad raises but they refuse to pay for their own mistakes. They bump therapist appointments and could care less about our happiness or wellness. They actually rehired a manager at my location that committed TIME FRAUD. Talk about making your employees uncomfortable in the work place!
