Pros

I am grateful to be a part of this company because it is only here that I found the most flexible schedule of working hours. The Japanese students are great and the salary is very competitive. A lot of incentives, including the free reservation flag I am enjoying now for two weeks and how I wish to have more. They are really giving the teachers the benefits that they deserve from hard work. The management is great and Native Camp continues to improve more for both the teachers and students.

Cons

So far, I am having a great time now as a tutor at Native Camp,, so nothing to write in here :)

Pros

As for me, it really improved my english communication skills since I've been in contact with native and non-native tutors and as a person who answers tutors inquiries or conduct system and demo check, I have to make sure I cam speak fluently in english or else tutors are going to say how incompetent the company's staff is. Second is that I've worked with people whom I really connected with but unfortunately, friendship could not pay my bills and buy me the things I want so I left to pursue a better opportunity

Cons

The company doesn't give tutors an orientation as to what the rules are, how the system works, payment things, etc. What they give you is a guidelines that you can check in your website and unfortunately, it isnt updated. Because of this situation, tutors are not informed about certain rules and ended getting deductions/penalty/deactivated. The information given to us, admin staff, are not clear so if you are wondering why some of you get confusing answers it is because the bosses gives us info then later on, changes it because it wasn't clarified. They keep hiring incompetent tutors. The boss don't care if you can't correct grammatical mistakes, if your pronunciation is bad, as long as you follow the instructions, you are good to go. For good tutors, this is a bad thing since its unfair but for not so good tutors or those whose just forced by friends for the referral incentive, my piece of advice FAMILIARIZE THE GRAMMAR BEGINNER FOUR ONLY. Salary is low for both tutors and admin. They use your hardwork for their own interest in earning more profit but people who have worked for them for a long time are not well appreciated. Office is not nice since its very noisy and its dull.

Dear former teacher, Thank you for your sincere and detailed feedback. Native Camp is constantly working on changes and improvements for our teachers. Regarding your review, first, we would like to say that every new teacher has instructions and access to the Guidelines where a teacher can find everything regarding our rules, policies, and processes on the platform. If teachers don't understand the Guidelines, they can send an inquiry message and our admin staff will clarify any doubts that they might have in a timely manner. Each teacher goes through the full application process where Native Camp checks knowledge of English, equipment and demo lesson with the admin staff which is not only a test but also as some kind of a training before the applicants become the teachers because of the role-play (an admin is acting as a student during the lesson). Native Camp pays for each lesson conducted the base rate and the teachers still have many more incentives, competitions and more to participate in order to earn more. So, it depends on the teachers how much they will earn. We will make further efforts in providing better service for our teachers. However, Native Camp would like to wish you all the best in your future career! Best regards, Native Camp

Pros

You can work from your home, whenever you want. People are friendly and you can learn a lot from your students as well.

Cons

The salary is low, but probably because you don’t need a degree for the job.
