Pros

Everyone is very capable, hard-working, and genuinely friendly. It is a flat organization, which makes for a warm and approachable environment no matter who you are. Upper management is fantastic, and they truly do take feedback and put it into practice. They don't just dictate what will happen.

Cons

Everyone works so hard, and I can see the work-life balance possibly becoming an issue. That being said, recruiting is ON IT and Niantic is growing at a rapid pace. From that though, there is uncertainty in how the workplace can change with new people pouring in. But my experience so far makes me confident in the company's commitment to keeping the wonderful work environment going strong.

Pros

We have some of the brightest, most diligent, committed and challenge-driven folks working here that I've ever met, which makes for a rewarding experience as an employee. The teams are all flexible, collaborate on a variety of projects, assignments and goals, and really strive to make everyone feel involved and important.

Cons

With the growth we've experienced, we're trying out new policies and benefits to improve the employee experience; depending on the team you're on, your days may be a bit longer than others, but even if that happens, it seems like managers are always ready to listen and help out.

* get to work with some really smart people on very difficult problems * lots of free food * communication is good * great healthcare options

Cons

* not very much PTO * parental leave not great * 401k matching not great ^^ In comparison to what I've seen around SV though, so YMMV
