      Extremely toxic environment, terrible manager, awful stack

      Work from home. Average pay.

      Cons

      I used to work for the Postpay Payment Integrity data science team. The manager (director) was extremely incapable and toxic. Non-stop stalking on employees' personal lives and threatening if you do not follow nonsense instructions. They straight up refused any feedback that could improve their products, which had originally been built with the data science knowledge level of high schooler. The technology stack is also awfully outdated. I'd stay away at all cost.

      Highly structured & organized processes. Day to day expectations were clear.

      Cons

      Lower base pay for the experience requested. Sr. Data Warehouse Analyst on my team (15 years experience) made $95k.

      Pros

      OptumCare is a UHG company. The benefits and pay are great. UHG is great, OptumCare, not so great.

      Cons

      OptumCare is poorly managed. There is a lot of micromanagement and senior leadership that is out of touch with front line staff. Senior leadership also lacks awareness of the daily struggles, work life balance and has unclear processes and standards. Expectations are constantly changing which sets up staff for failure.
