Pros

Programme and technical work is varied and interesting, and typically quite fast paced. Palladium’s size makes it easy to move laterally at junior/mid levels and get experience across a variety of areas of the business. Individual people at most levels are very happy to help and support new starters. Department leads are considerate of your interests and “no-go”s when assigning work/projects.

Cons

There is not really a company culture - any relationships with colleagues need to come organically as the organisation doesn’t really facilitate that. Palladium expects a lot of overtime. Time off in lieu is available, but not a given. It can also be hard to maintain a work/life balance when you are on a BD assignment. Senior and department managers do seem to play favourites - if you are “in” you will get good and interesting work, but it if not you can get passed the work no one else wanted.

Pros

There are good people who work here.

Cons

The work environment created at Palladium is toxic. This isn't just from the perspective of top down senior management. There is constant jocking and "punishment" coming from line management if there are personal issues. Senior management seems to be so disconnected from the day to day that they are unable to understand where the staff is coming from. The "Diversity and Inclusion" of this company is a joke, they have an inability to keep people of color. The recruitment efforts have made strides in recruiting a more diverse crop, however the discriminatory actions of line managers and hiring managers derails this because they are always looking for a "specific type of person". Their D&I person for the office is a white man who is very lovely but clueless about issues of diverse communities. Furthermore, their "dedication to hiring more diverse people" seems to be limited to junior positions as the partner leadership team at palladium is all white, the senior leadership team is all white with one woman of color and the line management leaders are majority white... They claim to have an environment of movement and promotion, however instead of promoting from within, they will re-distribute the work of employees who have left to lower level employees under the guise of "experience" without a promotion. They peddle this idea of upward mobility while superficially calling out good work in meetings while employees work 60+ hour weeks without an increase in pay. Bottom line, you will be un happy here, if you want to work in ID, there are better places to look, especially if you are a person of color... the all white CLT and upper Management, not to mention the white male D&I person in the office is evidence that their lip service to diversity is just that.

Pros

Feels like a family setup, people really want to see you succeed, never been in such a nurturing environment! The benefits are also quite great! The company also sets you up for success, providing you with all the necessary equipment you need for your work, and even support. Plus the company is big on work-life balance, they allow staff to work and still prioritize family, I love that!

Cons

Bureaucracy in its finest form. It would be nice to have an idea taken up without having to follow a thousand protocols. But its really bearable, and not really a big problem. Your path to career progression is not so clear.
