Pros

The San Francisco office definitely has a little more of a start-up feel (things are a little more agile), but with a strong financial backing. The politics are not bad, and everyone seems to work well with each other.

Cons

However, there are some bureaucracies you have to deal with because Sony is a very big company. Departments which service employess (such as IT help desk and HR) are not very friendly at the SF office.

Pros

It's a gaming company and there are quite a few perks that go with that like relaxed social atmosphere and dress code

Cons

Management is very confused and out of touch and manage the company through a series of disparate fiefdoms without aligned goals or a cohesive strategy.

Pros

Good benefits events large company hr, profitable business

Cons

Not a software company. Clock engineers. Big on timing, ops. No innovations. If you are here in person on time, that is all it is about. Best for hourly workers and watch dogs. Measure your performance by timing, not results. Very strange culture for software industry. You have to come to daily stand ups in person only. Micromanager does not time themselves though. "It" can come late and leave early as "it" wishes. Because "it" makes rules only for you. "It" is above the rules "it" makes. "It" can cancel or reschedule meetings at the last minute without any heads up although requiring you to give 24 hours notice to change a meeting. Because "it" "owns" the team including you. You are just a slave. "It" does not need to do real work. "Its" job is ----- watching you!!!!!
