Pros

Safe Job Nice people - office gets quite fun after 11! Some good clients especially in Oil and Gas

Cons

Pretty tough hours in IB No feedback received at all throughout my internship Got a call back to final round interviews for the grad scheme at the end, not a straight up offer (no one did)

Pros

- lots of opportunities to move around and try different things - stable and compensation is strong

Cons

- in some roles, there is limited work life balance... but int other roles it is great - it is highly politicalized. Opportunities and promotions are not always driven by merit. Good, qualified and hard working people often get overlooked by those who are more connected or just 'talk a good game' - it some roles, visibility and recognition of the work is very lacking - executive are not transparent... say one thing but do something else

Pros

RBC offers its employees all the necessary workspace. The benefits and allowances provided also help with commuting to work, which is located in IOI, and support employment in a shopping mall. They promote a healthy work-life balance which I am very grateful for. They also encourage you to speak up and take charge of your own growth and career path. What matters most is that it doesn’t reflect the typical pressures of Asian work culture. ❤️

Cons

If I'm picky, the cons are unfortunately a few people in the company are ruining the culture by bringing in Asian culture. Like “complaining about parking”, because they have to park a bit far (parking is free btw). And generally complaining they can get better benefits at other companies (then leave la). As someone who has worked in local banking, it doesn't get better than what you experience here at RBC.
