      work life balance as not much work stress

      Cons

      narrowed clients' industry exposure; unfair to auditor who worked harder but audit fee is lower than average; partners protecting home-grown staffs who can be promoted faster; remuneration and staff benefits are lower than average.

      Depending on your team you could work on large clients Depending on your team you could have a flexible schedule Lots of training opportunities Meals during busy season

      Cons

      Notice how I said “depending on your team” above. This place is so cliquey it’s infuriating. Your engagement team may be friendly and flexible, but you may move on to a new engagement the next week with a horrible group. Most people here have inflated egos even though we are not at big4. Pay is extremely low compared to market. If you want diversity and a welcoming environment don’t come to RSM

      Great Firm, Terrible Group

      Pros

      RSM has a great mid-west culture which focuses on helping each employee reach their potential. At a FAS conference in Chicago, I met several Directors and Managers with thriving teams with team members staying long term and getting promoted.

      Cons

      The group I was placed in had a terrible Director who had no leadership or business generating skills. In the end, I left because of him.
