Pros

Amazing Benefits. Passionate People. Diverse Teams. Progressive Culture. Good work/life balance. Actually cares about its employees deeply. Great pay.

Cons

Different teams can give very different experiences. Not given a ton of direction, need to be very self-guided. Has grown very fast recently, and sometimes left some teams and structures disorganized.

Pros

Good pay, usually good work/life balance. Great new campus in Santa Monica. Free lunches from a very good cafeteria. Get paid to play the game.

Cons

Management seems down on relational database technology in general, attitude is to move everything to NoSQL technology. General lack of understanding of how database systems work (e.g. statefull vs non-statefull nature of db's.) makes it difficult to implement and provide on going support or improvements to data engineering. Beyond that there is a premadonna wall amongst many of the engineers that impedes progressive creative engineering solutions.
