Pros

Riot Games people focus a lot on playing games together and have really optimistic attitude towards work which makes work fun and interesting. There are lots of hardcore gamers working in Riot Games, so people here really understand players and people all care a lot about players. Because people are aligned with player focus, there are less conflicts and more happiness in the office.

Cons

Playing sometimes takes some people too much of their time.

Pros

* Good Pay * Free food * Free to play games

Cons

* Senior management have no people skills or management skills, they are surviving there by doing a lot of internal politics. * Promotions based on relationships, politics not merit * HR management are useless, they are just puppets of senior management. * The company doesn't follow any ethics, its all show-base. * Layoffs are abrupt, poorly communicated, and morale-destroying Before joining this company, make sure you check about their work culture with a current/former employee and then join if you still like.

Pros

Brilliant coworkers Swanky campus Progressive environment Used to have amazing opportunity for projects and growth for game developers, not so much anymore

Cons

C-suite, VPs, and Execs ruining projects and misusing talent Weirdly jealous of Hollywood and wishes it were a film studio to brush shoulders with Netflix, Jeffrey Katzenberg, etc. Arcane/IP Strategy can be toxic to people who actually work on the games that keep the lights on Prioritize the creatives who work on your games, not the random tech and film hires from Netflix and AirBnB
