      A good company for a designer to develop his/her career, but its rigid org structure gets in the way sometimes

      Pros

      Good organizational culture, corporate values are real and the professionals really care about them, team dynamics is nice, some good and interesting colleagues you'll love work with, but the not-so-good are ok anyway and don't get in your way, and this is quite manageable at Bosch. It generally follows the right direction, company-wise, values cooperation as the base of trust, this is great. Pay is good. One of the best job offers I had in my professional life and didn't regret accepting.

      Cons

      Whenever it performs a reorg - reorgs have been frequent lately and this will continue to be so while the world faces material resources crisis - it becomes a scary place for the new hires. If you are lucky enough to work with a good target manager and good local manager, and you have the optimistic scenario where your managers don't move to another org, you'll be one of the most happy designers around, with good projects and team mates, but unfortunately not every designer gets this good luck in every reorg. In fact, if you aren't lucky, be ready to see the rigid org structure of Bosch becoming a real problem and look for a better place elsewhere.
