Pros

Management takes time to invest in the best employees. The CEO acts tough but she is the best mentor I've ever had. The company really cares about its mission of empowering women.

Cons

Some departments are understaffed and it seems like they are just trying to keep up. Same with the rest of the company- it's always in sprint mode which can be exhausting.

Pros

SHE Media encourages growth and creates leadership opportunities across all levels. Senior Management works very collaboratively and supports one another towards a common goal. Also, as a women's media company, many of the tent poles have a positive impact on the word, which makes the work more meaningful.

Cons

It is a fast-paced environment where one has to be able to pivot and keep up with demanding media landscape. This type of environment is not for everybody.

Pros

Management- especially the CEO- is very focused on building your career. I was many ugh level meetings that taught me valuable skills. When I told CEO I was leaving, she was disappointed but the counseled me on how to succeed in my new role and couldn’t help herself from being excited for me because it was a step up and a new experience.

Cons

Intense and stressful sometimes trying to keep up in media while rates are dropping and competition is high. Benefits are not great - not enough vacation days to balance the intensity of the work, and new owners don’t allow for the flexibility we all valued.
