Pros

People are great, the culture is amazing and everyone is very supportive of each other. Great opportunity for growth within the company

Cons

No summer Friday's which is unfortunate especially in this industry in NYC. Holiday schedule is not great - we don't have the day after thanksgiving off, and we have to work half days on Christmas eve and new years.

SHE Media is a mission driven organization committed to delivering value to all its stakeholders -- advertisers, readers and viewers. independent publishers, influencers, speakers, employees -- and empowers employees at all levels to make it happen. You will work hard but your contribution will be recognized and valued. Colleagues are smart, committed to the mission and collaborative. Note that I left as part of a reorg in 2017 and recently rejoined the company. Sort of says it all, doesn't it.

Cons

SHE Media has a very entrepreneurial, start-up culture, but is also part of a much larger company with established corporate procedures. Navigating this can be challenging at times.

Pros

There is so much opportunity to learn and try new things here. I have worked at large corporations where you are stuck in a box and there is only so far you can take your career. It's not like that here, where people are encouraged to take on new projects, to offer their opinions, to learn, to be innovative and also to take risks.

Cons

The team is very lean, but that is partly why someone with an entreprenurial spirit will do well here.
