The PEOPLE make this place great

Pros

The people are smart, fun and friendly. Makes work seem more like fun. Management recognizes talent and strives to keep good people happy. Departments all seem to have a nice camaraderie both within their own teams and with other departments. Halloween party knocks the socks off any other company party I've been to!

Cons

Teams are lean. Lots of products to market and sell, which can lead to shifting internal priorities.

The people here are warm and welcoming. The management is solid and has an appreciation that you have a life outside of work. That’s what makes people work so hard for the brand.

Cons

The hours are long because the resources are limited.

-Great work-life balance. -No B.S., no non-sense, people get work done with minimal politics -Projects are challenging and fun -Coworkers are nice

Cons

-Very volatile business environment "revolving door" of employees. The company has retention problem. On top of that, they fire / layoff people very very easily and frequently. One employee once said to me "I've been here two years, oddly enough that makes me one of the old timers around here; I can count on my fingers the number of people who've been here longer than me" -The bonuses and merit increases have been pathetic to non-existent for as long as I can remember. Same explanation always: the company 'missed' its financial targets (just like the past years..). -The people environment is cliquey with lots of "tribes." This is likely due to the fact that this company has grown so through so many acquisitions (Blogher, Stylecaster, HelloFlo, etc...). Can't fault people for remaining loyal to their original tribes.
