Pros

The people I work with are great. Delivery expectations are reasonable with regard to time frame. The office atmosphere is fun.

Cons

For some unknown reason, upper management seems unprepared to make, and stick with a decision. Furthermore, they are also concentrated at a remote satellite office in New York and are under the misguided notion that that is the headquarters of this company. Good people are let go in Scottsdale for "change of direction" reasons only to be replaced with incompetent substitutes in New York that are subsequently fired due to their only qualification being that they live in New York. The CTO is 100% untrustworthy. Prior to his arrival my rating of SheKnows would have been 5 star. Now I'm on the fence because the great office atmosphere has been replaced with a dark cloud of impending doom about mass layoffs and closure of the Scottsdale office.

A lot of growth and change that is helping focus the mission of the company and put resources where they need to be. Fun environment, great people. Opportunity to help redefine a brand.

Cons

Fast growth can also result in too much too soon on the employees. Stressful. A lot of opinions happening at once.

You Will Learn and Grow

Pros

Competitive pay, good family benefits, work with interesting technologies, learn how to scale web applications to a large audience, good technical management team, agile process, casual and comfortable, family atmosphere, you will not be compartmentalized and can grow as a developer.

Cons

Tight deadlines, predefined deadlines before figuring out scope of a project, top-down approach to technical projects, you can feel isolated from upper management decisions that affect the projects you work on.
