Pros

Nice office space. There used to be a nice work environment. They completely ruined that in the last 6 months.

Cons

They have no voice, no mission and are completely naive about the editorial online experience. Their sales and editorial teams never communicate. They are waffling in the air and blaming everyone in their path.

Pros

There are none that I can honestly think of.

Cons

They are nothing more than an investment property. And a bad investment at that. No idea of who or what they stand for. Management is joke and no idea what they are doing. All the current employees are nothing more than sheeple who are not ready to accept their ultimate fate.

What a mess

Pros

They have a cool looking office space in NY.

Cons

Where do I begin? First of all, no one is communicating with one another. Second of all, you can almost guarantee you will get laid off due to a "restructure" in about one year. If you make it past a year, you'll resign out of anger, frustration and mistrust of weak management. No opportunities for career growth or promotions. HR is useless and just hires and fires. No training or chance to advance your skills. The benefits are terrible, especially if you're a woman, which is funny because they tout a women's focused mission. No maternity or parental leave, no fertility benefits, barely any working from home. The business was continually challenged to address to NY vs. AZ rumors and they continued to skirt the subject. It's not uncommon to walk in and have a new manager the next day with no notice. Direction and focus keeps changing, or at least not made clear enough to understand. Only some people have voices, the rest are minions to do the grunt work with duel roles and responsibilities. No defined culture or identity as a business really anything to be proud of.

We appreciate your feedback. We are working on bringing more clarity to our communication both between departments and company-wide. We have worked hard on the benefits piece over the past several years, seeing improved service and coverage in many areas. This includes the addition of infertility coverage as of 1/1/2016. We have always provided all full time employees with short term and long term disability policies at no cost, which covers the birth of a child among other things. We also provide paid Parental Leave benefits to both new mothers and fathers. We apologize that you were not aware of all the benefits SheKnows provides and will work harder to ensure this message is clearer as well as how to use them.
