Pros

Can't think of a single good reason to work there. Avoid with all your might. Looks good from the outside, rotten inside.

Cons

Shockingly bad senior management that changes all the time as career Santander big wigs see it as a less glamorous stop on their career path. Current leader gets all those around him to do all his thinking and work. Constant reorganisations and downsizing. Targets unachievable. IT support non existent. Treat staff like a dispensable commodity. No redeeming features whatsoever.

Its a worldwide known company, which gives you a security feeling in our current crisis enviroment in Spain.

Cons

At least in retail Banking: No salary raise after 4 years (crisis), very low salaries, lots of extra hours non paid, no, or very few carreer aportunities since 2008
