Pros

Great people, fun culture, unlimited pto, catered lunch every Thursday, free healthy snacks all day, dog-friendly workplace, flexible scheduling, working remotely optional, casual dress code, avocado toast wednesdays, free exercise and yoga classes as well as personal development training sessions, room for growth and establishing procedures as well as processes, there is a culture of gratitude which is nice, beer in the fridge for after 4pm.

Cons

Pay is low for the workload, departments have no time for training, poor work/life balance which ironically means you can't use as much of the unlimited PTO as you'd like, many of the "optional" team building activities are actually mandatory which makes it hard to get any work done and creates a lack of boundaries between work and personal life, constant meetings make it hard to get any work done, the job requires public speaking with a microphone during "sensei sessions" and "offsite" team building events which can make more introverted employees extremely uncomfortable, busy and loud work environment is hugely distracting and there are very few quiet spaces for concentrated work, huge lack of diversity most of the staff is white (even though there are a few POC sprinkled around here and there), the "fun" vibe is a little too enforced by CEO and can sometimes feel cult-like and fake as opposed to genuine, work is not spread out evenly between departments which means some departments go home at 4:30 and some go home at 7pm and take their work home with them for weekends. No amount of healthy snacks can make up for the lack of work/life balance. There is a major lack of structure and communication in departments, but that's to be expected with startups. DO NOT DRINK THE KOOL-AID. There are plenty of start-ups out there that will pay more, demand less, and make the headaches and growing pains worth it.

Pros

The company hires the best people, and that is what kept me there. Yes, the company culture is great. They have fun competitions and parties, but the people are the true reason I stayed there so long.

Cons

The company is not professional when it comes to the procedures in which they handle their employees. They appear to care for their employees but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, the company doesn't back you up. I got the feeling that the wool was pulled over my eyes for the first month, and then the facade was revealed. The growth within the company is restricted. When I tried to change into a different department, they did not hire from within the company, rather selected an outside candidate.

Pros

The people at your level that you work with (that they keep). Like-minded individuals who want to give it their all. Read any review, that's the only common denominator besides free snacks (which rarely rotate, as they advertise). Good values, that aren't particularly lived out outside of "health above all else". All of those "Best in LA" awards you see? It's forced upon each employee to submit reviews and surveys with nothing but praise in order to achieve those "awards". They don't mean a thing.

Cons

The product itself is no-longer what it used to be. No variety. Expensive compared to competitors. All they care about is sales selling lies to companies to get their "product" in the door. From there, they don't fulfill their word, which they jam down their sales reps throats to sell. You are not cared for. You don't get back what you what you put in whatsoever. So the "pros", the people that you work with, could be gone in a matter of hours (this happens, often). The reviews you're reading from the last year? All true. Zero on-boarding or training. You are set-up to fail. The HR/"people" team care more about their online presence than they do their employees. If you're applying for a sales job, just read these reviews. From the time I started in 2017 to current day, the sales department in LA has gone from 40+ AE's (3 teams of 12+) to about 20 AE's (two teams of under 10), two different VP of Sales, 2 different Director of Sales Operations, and 7 different managers. Oh, and they also scrapped their entire SDR team without any notice. Everything you're reading is not all a coincidence.
