Pros

Highly skilled workforce, opportunity for career advancement, cutting edge technology, competitive compensation (incl. awesome 401k and bonus package)

Cons

Depending on which team you land on, your individual experience may vary. Job satisfaction is primarily dictated by your direct supervisor afterall. There are plenty of rotten managers at Charter, and if you find yourself reporting to one, try to transfer to one of the good ones... of which there are many. Charter culture is strange; mid-level managers are dis-empowered to make big decisions, which are dictated by whomever is the highest ranking stakeholder. Charter lives and dies by Powerpoint decks, so if you don't like Powerpoint... do not apply. Management expects the underlings to deliver most messages via decks. Charter does not treat their contractors very well overall. They are, by design, treated like a lower caste. I've heard the explanation for this and disagree; all workers, whether employee or contractor, should be treated fairly and equally.

Pros

Flexible schedule, and went from iPhones to flip phones, this is a pro because it bring back memories from 20 years ago

Cons

There is a disconnect with Charter leadership and brighthouse, the sales channel specifically. It went from a team environment to being micromanaged. The market is different and Charter is not embracing the fact that we are bigger now there is more competition and the customers have options, specifically in suburban /urban markets. This is not the country. From a sales representative point of view it does not feel like a merger but more like a hostile takeover. It doesn't feel like the sales team is being invested in, and we are the face of the company. The commission plan is not competitive either, hopefully they adjust. Good customers have choices and so do good employees.

Our recent merger with Charter has been somewhat of a process, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please know we are working together, as a company, to make this process more organized and easier for all of our employees.

Pros

- Lots changes in the positive direction - Working to lead the multi-cloud managed space - tackling difficult problems while keeping client satisfaction - increased and improved communication frequency

Cons

- still a lot of work to do in terms of meeting the major goals of leading the market, the market itself is changing, so this type of change is necessary
