Pros

Great pay. If you really want to move up, there is advancement opportunity all the time. You just have to do well and be open to constructive criticism. Supervisors try to really help you do well.

Cons

It can be a lot of pressure to make your numbers sometimes. It can be competitive which is not the environment since may be used to.

Pros

Commission is great my first month I started making around $3k. Great dental, medical and vision insurance. Some vacation time and personal time. Extensive training.

Cons

Micromanaged on everything you say and do. You are listened to regardless being off or on the clock. Sales expectations are pressured on to you and it’s not reachable at times. To sum it up the group on new hires I started with were around 29 people and we ended up with 7 people being the most. There is a reason why people quit… run away trust me the comission is not worth it with these supervisors. They overly exaggerate their comission earnings. You will not make $10k + a month in comission the highest paid performer of the whole company made $6k being the most and that was rare. I will be quitting very soon.

Pros

You got benefits. I made some great friends there.

Cons

One of the things I see the sales side of Spectrum is stating how we give poor customer support. I could not agree more. As a technical support agent I cover phone, cable, internet. As they expanded I was very limited one what I could do. and I had calls constantly. There was not break between calls. The metrics are insane and the quality of of training became terrible. You apologized for sucking and hope to get them off the phones rather than resolve the issue. Which was not originally like this. You had tools and knowledge to resolve the customer problem but they downgraded the staff to taking the mental brunt of customer's dissatisfaction. Nothing was resolved. They refused to have people work from home when the pandemic hit unless you were sick and they expected us to still some to work with most of Texas shut down from the severe winter storm 2021. They made it difficult for certain employees too move up in this department. From what I have heard they have complete downgraded the department and employees to being cell phone support. This is not a surprise. I never realized how miserable an depressed I was working there until I quit. It felt like a big burden was lifted.
