Pros

For many years, Charter provided meaningful opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development. I spent nearly two decades here, starting early in my career and advancing through dedication to customer experience, technical excellence, and building strong teams. Earlier in my tenure, collaboration was encouraged, experience mattered, and the people I worked with were talented and committed. Those years were genuinely rewarding, and I remain grateful for them.

Cons

In the final years of my employment, following changes in leadership within the networking organization, the culture deteriorated significantly. Experienced voices were no longer welcomed, feedback was dismissed, and decision-making became increasingly adversarial. Psychological safety eroded, and trust between leadership and teams broke down. Team members were publicly singled out or marginalized, morale declined, and highly capable engineers shifted from innovation to self-preservation. Concerns raised through Human Resources were not meaningfully addressed, which eliminated accountability and allowed harmful dynamics to persist. In one case, a team member was wrongly accused of failing to follow procedure and nearly terminated. Only sustained peer advocacy prevented that outcome, though the incident permanently damaged trust. Over time, every original member of the team either resigned, was terminated, or was laid off, resulting in the complete loss of an experienced, high-performing group. This review reflects deep disappointment, not a lack of commitment. I invested much of my career here and took pride in my work and my team. The failure was not technical talent or effort, but leadership choices that dismantled a once-strong environment. For that reason, a one-star rating is appropriate.

Great benefits. Take home vehicle. Self progression courses allow for pay increases. Local management is usually understanding and great to work with.

Cons

Expectations from corporate can be unrealistic and change frequently.

Good entry-level pay and benefits.

Cons

Highly emotionally volatile customer-base calling in with low IQ or an outright BS Modus Operandi. PTO becomes impossible to cash in since everyone is perma-refreshing for the first sign of hour availability. They tell you to stay in your scope of support yet establish impossible metrics that forces you to constantly work outside of your scope of support.
