Pros

There are no pros to working at Spectrum

Cons

You can be placed on a new team overnight without your consent Working for management that don’t believe in the concept of work More effort spent architecting management than engineering Frequent medical and gender discrimination No work from home policy, although you will be expected to work on abusive call rotations for most teams Adversarial relationships with other teams Hostile and unprofessional HR run by a 3rd party prison / parole company Important decisions are based on politics at every level Employee input is demanded but completely ignored Internal moves can take up to 5 months before you are in the new role No standards, documentation, or communication between teams

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We know that a positive, supportive team can make all the difference for a successful career. The experience you describe is not in keeping with our company values. When some employees do not comply with policies or create a hostile working environment, it hurts us all. We have taken note of your comments and will share them with our leadership.

Pros

Free services is the only Pro

Cons

Where to start, the training is sub-par, the OJT is equivalent to putting a zebra in a cage with hungry lions. You get no support or help. You are talked at not to, nothing is truly explained to you, the people who are supposed to help you don't. Everyone is on a powertrip and if you complain you are blackballed and targeted immediately. They say they have an open-door policy yet when you walk in that door with a grievance or problem they quickly blame you and take no action to support or help you. You are expected to know everything the minute you are on the phones, they listen to the calls then coach you and never say what you do good only what you did wrong, and chastise and threaten you with the loss of your job. There are multiple systems to learn as well as products and pricing and during OJT if you mess up those people that are supposed to be there to help will jump on you like white on rice If you want to cry at work, or go home crying at night or crying in the morning because you dread dealing with the hostile and uncaring people who manage you then this is the job for you.

Pros

Good pay A lot of chances for overtime Free cable and internet Can make extra money for sales Free food on various occasions

Cons

You deal with miserable pissed off people the whole time. You are micromanaged every second and your questioned even about bathroom breaks. Don’t get sick.. cuz even with a doctors note.. you will be called into a meeting and written up. You are barely taught , and then expected to thrive on programs that do not function correctly and have continuous issues. High stress job... with too little available help. Not worth the perks
