Pros

There were constant incentives, the environment was fun and energetic. You were valued as an employee and as long as you hit their minimum numbers every month, you didn't have much of a care in the world. Its not hard to hit those numbers either if you just try.

Cons

When Time Warner Cable merged with Charter, a lot of changes were going into effect and it was severely affecting employee moral. Many positions were informed they were losing their position during the merger, even though part of the merger (in NY) was that no employee was to lose their employment for 2 years. We were told find yourself a position or leave. I opted to leave.

Thank you for your review. Our recent merger with Charter has been somewhat of a process, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Please know we are working together, as a company, to make this process more organized and easier for all of our employees.

Pros

Most of the People, comprehensive benefits.

Cons

There's a reason Charter Communications hired Saatchi & Saatchi in New York to rebrand the company under the name of Spectrum. Spectrum is the blend of Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications and Brighthouse. The problem is that the rebranding does not address the root cause of the problem which is the chaos and confusion inside the company and I work in HR! Employees are required to perform without support, without much training and thus, there's not any work-life balance. Everyone's online after work hours every day and during the weekends. If you value your health and family life, don't join this company. It's a very unhealthy environment. The culture is uptight (Charter) and no one pushes back on the unrealistic deadlines - even at the VP Level. Everyone including at senior leadership is acting out of fear and so therefore, don't expect your leader to provide support or resources to succeed. No one is set up for success. I am seeking other employment and so are many ex-TWC employees. Attrition here is astronomical.

Pros

Pay is decent. Benefits are good but it doesn't make up for the bad treatment from the management staff and the horrible customers

Cons

Management is the worst ever witnessed. They spend 90% of their time talking and gossiping with one another and watching sports games on the tvs. They spend little to no time with the employees or developing them in any way. They push the call takers to take one screaming customer after another with no time to recover. And believe me, if you try to take a 20 second break after being called every nasty name in the book, they will send someone over to force you to take the next call. People that work here gain 40 lbs in the first 6 months due to stress and often develop mental breakdowns and have to take leave after leave. It is a SLAVE CAMP and you are simply a number that can be replaced. I wouldn't recommend the Vancouver, WA call center to my worst enemy. There is zero accountability for the management team. It's a circus within a circus. Avoid this at all costs.
