1) Toxicity culture. Classic case wherever you are located, everyone only knows how to manage up. Senior leaders know nothing about actual leadership. This place is a dictatorship that drives fear.
2) Most leaders have been promoted to where they are. This is a key weakness in there leadership style, extremely institutionalised and huge fear of change.
3) The founders have too much of a role. They are nothing but a nuisance to the board and the rest of the company.
4) Obsessed with the "Spinmaster way" despite no proper processes or specific way. It's just BS fluffy HR wording.
6) They love buying companies. Have completely failed to integrate any properly (for toys). Half the time they do not know what they are buying. The person who signed off the valuation of Melissa and Doug, im very surprised if they have a job.
7) no clear brand strategy in toys. Very operationally driven. E.g. sell as much tat as you possibly can.
