Pros

Working for Springer Nature enabled me to explore and apply cutting edge technology to user problems. Work life balance, career progression, DEI and contributing to the SDGs have been genuinely important themes.

Cons

Scientific publishing is at times too traditional and conservative although alternative solutions are out there. Also, commercial research publishers are heavily criticized by the communities they serve for high profit margins.

Thank you for sharing. We aim to be the leading SDG Publisher and we are working hard towards carbon neutrality to reduce our carbon footprint. We do have a strong culture and we all take responsibility to work together and support the global community of academic researchers and educators. Our business is rich in diversity and as we continue to grow we do need to be bold and continue to innovate and as you say re-imagine.

Thank you for your review. Our colleague care, great culture and engaging & fun office space in the heart of Kings Cross is wonderful. Agree at times our pace a little slow; our collaborative style of working generally is a positive thing.

Thank you for sharing your review. The work our SN technology team works on influences all areas of our business and the calibre of the colleagues skillset is required to be exceptional as the team is responsible for maintaining and delivering millions of articles used by scientists, researchers and students across the World. So we need the very best in class. We do like to keep bureaucracy slim so appreciate your thoughts on being a bit laid back at times.
