Pros

I enjoy working at Springer Nature. I feel that we have an important mission and that my work directly contributes to that mission. I'm surrounded by intelligent and approachable individuals that help me do my best work, and I have ample opportunities to push myself and grow in my career.

Cons

When working in any large enterprise organization, it can take some time to get familiar with the breakdown of responsibilities by department. The internal website is a good resource for this, however.

We actively encourage colleagues to continually develop, learn and grow. We are a truly global firm and with any international culture we always are working on streamlining and making processes a bit easier to navigate.

Pros

With multicultural collaboration, people-driven leadership, a supportive environment, and team spirit, where people can bring their authentic selves to work and allow room for curiosity. If you have a curious mind, enjoy working with colleagues from all over the world, and want to always be true to yourself, Springer Nature is a great workplace.

Cons

Springer Nature is not a commercial-driven company, it is still much more driven by operational and publishing targets, it makes a purpose-driven workplace but sometimes difficult to navigate for sales professionals. Also still a very hierarchical structure with low autonomy and interaction with senior management when you are not in a high-level job position.

Thank you so much for highlighting such important points. We feel so important to our culture that everyone at SN can be themselves and make a positive impact and be recognised for this great work by working on varied and purposeful projects. We do have an open and supportive culture with thriving employee networks. We strive always to make it easy to participate equally, feeling at ease to be yourself and perform comfortably and be your best. As a global business, we feel proud also that everyone should have a voice regardless of level or title and we're working on this every day.

Pros

Springer Nature offers a friendly and pleasant work environment with amazing and supportive colleagues and flexible working hours, contributing to a positive atmosphere and work-life balance.

Cons

Low salaries and strict policies regarding remote work from abroad. About WfA, the company has made some good progress, but there is certainly more room for improvement.

Thank you for sharing. The office environment and culture strength are all down to our wonderful people. Work life balance is a good strength that seems to resonate with many; we are always looking for feedback on what else we can do. We have this year widened our policy to work abroad to include "Workations" which is quite popular and allows flexibility. We look to benchmark our salaries and we review regularly.
