Pros

Springer Nature is a great place to work. Being part of a company that enables millions of Researchers, Educators and others to access content and services that drives innovation and discovery gives purpose and meaning to the work too. I get to work with amazing colleagues who are supportive and collaborative, as well as opportunities to learn and develop.

Cons

No downsides, as this is genuinely the best company I have worked for. The company operates well in both the transformative industry around us as well as with internal change.

Pros

You can work with some of the smartest people in the world.

Cons

C-Suite is unaligned with its employees and the company's mission. Switched from "for discovery" to "for profit." Poor advancement opportunities. SN hardly promotes from within. They routinely hire from outside the company rather than promote and reward their own workers. Employees are not given the resources they need. Ever. "Do more with less" is the standard. "We just need to put up with (insert temporary solution) for a few months and then we will have what we need to do our jobs" is a recurring phrase at every quarterly meeting.

Pros

Good benefits and decent company but poor bullying management spoils the atmosphere. Bullying does not motivate employees to work harder. The Collection mgr frowns upon teamwork…it is the opposite for most companies looking for results! Stay away and invest your time in a better atmosphere else where.

Cons

Poor management needs training classes on how to treat employees with respect! HR is well aware and no action for improvement. The unprofessional abusive managers need to be fired!
