      Worst company I've ever worked for

      Pros

      - salary and benefits are ok

      Cons

      - micro management and too American - incompetent managers, everything in europe dictated by Americans who are not qualified to advise on european legal matters (but think they are) - nasty back-stabbing culture -no support from line managers and HR -no flexibility as regards working from home - no teamwork, hostility and most people too afraid of losing their jobs to speak out - very badly organised with too many layers and duplication of senior management roles

      Good company but does not recognise talent

      Pros

      Good work and social life balance. Opportunity to work with talented and brilliant scientists. Opportunity to be involved in innovative projects. I really enjoyed working there. Relaxed atmosphere, flexitime helps.

      Cons

      Salary was average, very disappointed as Syngenta is the worlds biggest agrochemical company . Salary rise was low despite record profits and sales. Most definitely lower than competitors I.e. Bayer, Dow, DuPont, Monsanto and BASF. NO OVERTIME despite working more than 40 hours a week. Career progression is non existent to a non- Phd holder. Too much politics. Job is always under treat, I feel like I'm one mistake away from being being replaced. I don't feel appreciated despite my best efforts.

      there is a potential for growth if senior management every listens to its employees.

      Cons

      the lack of respect the the senior management has for it employees. the last reorganization they did their best to kill the loyality that they had in the three brand that they marketed their products for.
