Pros

The company does well on time off requests and flexible schedules and being mindful on that we are all human and are late and have other things going on besides work

Cons

I worked for the Company for 4 Years and when it’s time for them to choose who to promote they are so blind. When promoting a key carrier they had 2 great choices and 1 bad and they chose the bad. This person constantly had complaints against them by associates and customers the only reason they were promoted was people they had so many credit cards. Also each store is different and I worked at the store with the biggest stock room in the area and they stuff product in by the maxx. They company is only worried about selling product and not taking into consideration just how small each store is my store towards the end was receiving so much freight that we were putting boxes and boxes on the floor and not to mention we do not have enough things to bring them out on and is a lifting hazard for the employees

Pros

1. The salary of a TJX store manager is amazing 2. Great benefits (Health, Vision, 401k, Vacation) 3. Great yearly Bonus 4. Can find some amazing manager team members.

Cons

1. Overkill and high performance expectations. If you don't meet the goal you can look forward to being hounded regularly. Other stores cheat and give 10% just for applying and not approving. So operating with integrity may not get you the desired results. 2. Payroll is always an issue. You receive a shipment of 5 to 12 pallets 7 days per week, and payroll doesn't increase. Not even hire sales increase payroll. 3. During charity campaigns, you are made to feel like you should donate in order to reach the company set goal. 4. You are constantly made to hire, even if it isn't needed and payroll can't support it. Then associates quit, due to no hours. Higher up want to address your turn over, well over hiring and payroll is the issue. 5. Lots more cons. Running out to time.

Pros

I applied for this position for the holidays to help me "Find My Christmas". With the pandemic, I struggled during the holidays last year in getting into the spirit of the holidays. I had lost my Christmas spirit...it made me sad. This year, I decided to apply to my favorite stores for weekend work to help get my Holiday Cheer back. Marshall's reached out right away when I sent in my application online. What a Fantastic Team they have at Pensacola Marshall's!! These wonderful, kindhearted people enjoy each other and what they do. They just make me smile! The store is decked out for Christmas and the sales are so great that the shoppers are happy to be there and visit with the staff as they shop. This team cares about each other and the guests that visit the store. I am proud to be a part of what they offer. There's ALOT of Christmas Magic happening in this store. Found my Christmas! Thank you Marshall's Pensacola, I'll see you at work this weekend.

Cons

I haven't found anything negative about this position at all.
