Pros

Benefits are okay if you are full time. After a year or so, people there become your second family.

Cons

Oh my. Where to start? Well first off, the pay is terrible for the amount of work you have to do. No matter how hard you work, if you aren't at least kind of a favorite of management, you will never get promoted. And I mean never. Don't expect to get promoted past coordinator either. The same 4 or 5 people always win Associate of the Quarter. The same 4 or 5 people are always winning the monthly Reach card drawings. Oh and then after a super successful Christmas season, you get nothing for the work you've put in while management literally dances around and brags about their fat bonus check that they will be getting right in front of you. Management will also stick up for the people who are lazy and do nothing. They abuse a select few workers who carry the weight of the store. Many associates do not know the simplest company guidelines because management will not take the time to train new associates. They have passed on extra work to me because they "didn't feel like showing so- and- so how to do something". After being at this place for a while, you are expected to constantly fix mistakes of the new people and the lazies. This place is the kind of place that people end up staying at for the rest of their lives because they constantly promise that it will get better. It wont. They give you hope that you will one day be promoted. You wont. The company knows this, and they rely on these kind of people to get comfortable and stay forever. The longer you are there, the more hateful and bitter you will get. Unless you are in high school, or just starting college, don't work here. If you currently work here, get out while you still can.

Pros

Orientation was very informal and not pointless. Employees very friendly and very helpful of each other. Not a stuffy work environment and not always micro managed.

Cons

Was promised to be a cashier but I would work my way up to and it from back room to learn everything and it never happened. Wherever they truly need you for the season is most likely where you'll stay. Department wise.
