      Pros

      Colleagues are incredibly intelligent and always willing to lend a helping hand or provide guidance on complex technical and commercial issues. It is awesome to be working in the exciting ad-tech industry with ever-evolving legal considerations and risks is extremely rewarding from a learner's and in-house attorney's perspective. Management's support of the legal department is very refreshing for a career-long in house attorney who has worked at other companies and within other industries.

      Cons

      Workload can be a bit overwhelming at times (especially at fiscal quarter-end) but company strives to put processes in place to relieve the pressures that come along with individual bandwidth issues.

      Good if you like Scala, bad if you want to build engineering skills.

      Decent compensation. Nice place to be if working with Scala is what is most important to you.

      Cons

      Poor engineering practices makes it a bad place to learn and build a career. Tech leaders are selected based on time joined, not leadership skills, which is of course commonly seen in lots of companies, but is never good. Conways law is seen everywhere and there's a lot of friction in interfaces between teams. There's a gap between top management vision (I would rather say economical goals) and how this is transferred down to engineering.

      Pros

      Great tech, an extremely intelligent product team led by a bright CPO who understands people management well. Engineering turns around product faster than i have seen in a while in a start-up.

      Cons

      Growing pains post acquisition. There seems to be a bit of a struggle from overall strategic vision to actual development but expected. Tapad is has an excellent work culture. People are efficient and things happen. If you are looking for others to think and do for you, then this isn't the place for you.
