Pros

Opportunities to learn, fun and brilliant coworkers, serious about software engineering. Autonomy, work-life balance, good pay.

Cons

Start-ups are fast-pace, high-growth. You have to be ready to learn on the fly, be agile, and willing to work hard.

Pros

Strong engineering culture; tech is the core of the company. Lots of nice, smart, hard-working, and fun employees. Relaxed work environment (e.g. lounge, snacks and drinks, ping pong and foosball), top of the line equipment to work with. People have lots of autonomy and freedom to excel. Company is active in the tech community, and pays for engineers to travel to conferences. Good tradition of being introspective, meaning that problems get addressed directly. The business model is strong; there is lots of revenue, and lots of potential for growth.

Cons

Growing pains -- effective organization and internal communication is a hard problem to solve as the number of employees goes up. As a result some parts of the company are disorganized. New initiatives are sometimes poorly planned or executed (either too much or too little up-front planning, or too much change during development).

Pros

jus so u know, i'm writing this review because a) the one that's up isn't flattering and b) you should work with us when i go to work, i'm happy. i don't feel stresed. no one is breathing down our necks. and the coworkers are smart and funny. no one is a jerk. people like to drink and play games after a day of hard work the agile here isn't ghetto like most places. they like fixing problems that come up i think the stuff we work on is nice. scala, big data, real time we're active in the programming community

Cons

sometimes it sounds like the business doesn't know what it's doing. engineers don't have much face time with non-product/non-engineers. they changed our snack vendor recently
