Pros

- you recieve bi annual reviews accompanied by raises, and you also make tips. - if you work less favourable shifts (ie. overnights) you recieve a premium as well. Mine is an extra $1.50 per hour. - scheduling is flexible, and you can always work as many hours as you want within reason.

Cons

- you do not get any sick time, it is almost impossible to call in sick without a doctors note. - raises are typically small (0-25 cents)

Pros

-Fun, fast paced environment, always busy so time flies by -In depth training: online and on the job -Teaches you how to be patient and deal with unreasonable/rude customers -Regular customer base -Staff are very friendly and welcoming -Cleanest restaurant I have ever worked at

Cons

-You have to know how to do a lot of things fast and accurately: they first train you on the till, making hot and cold coffee orders then you advance to drive through which is super hectic, followed by sandwich bar and lastly the production area, where you bake donuts and prepare all the vegetables, eggs, meat etc. - Work load can be really tough at times, making you feel underpaid

Pros

Steady work. Company is growing as a whole.

Cons

There aren't many oportunities for growth unless you work for the corporate head office. Private owners will not support you to go to head office. In fact there is a specific rule in their contract with TDL that corporate head office is not allowed to interview you if you work for a private Tim Hortons store owner. They can sue TDL if they interview you for a job. That is not fair.
