      Good benefits, interesting culture

      Pros

      Great company-wide performance bonuses. Good benefits - health plan, retirement plan. Interesting company culture.

      Cons

      Company health volatile due to dependency on Ore prices. Somewhat still bureaucratic, with slow, frustrating processes. Seen very few raises and promotions.

      -Excellent benefits (medical, prescription drug plan etc) -DC Pension Plan - A variety of different work environments (underground mines, mill, smelter nickel refinery) each with their own unique equipment, processes challenges etc. - Exposure to multiple plant sites with company Apprenticeship program. -A large variety of equipment from modern cutting edge technology to 100 year old tech that you may never see anywhere else. - Ample opportunities to work overtime if you want to make additional income - Chance at annual bonus averaging in the 10-15k range - Co-workers are welcoming and easy to get along with - Most supervisors are approachable and honest

      Cons

      -Hourly rates for skilled trades could be higher given the isolation (7 hour drive to Winnipeg) -like most large companies they don't like change and when it does happen it takes a long time. - Some skilled trades are paid more then others - turnover in skilled trades is extremely high - majority of surface operations (smelter and nickel refinery are closing Q3 of 2018)

      Terrible Company - Stay Away From Ths Employer

      Average salaries and benefits. Experienced workforce.

      Cons

      Terrible work environment. Always downsizing so constant need to keep looking over your shoulder. Have taken away major pension and benefits in the last few years. Very poor regard for safety with the bottom line is making money. Brazil tries to run the Canadian operations the same way they run their operations in third world countries. Very low moral amongst employees. Non union employees have no protection and are laid off at will. Company has no use for unions and has caused strikes as long as 1 year.
