Bloated, bureaucratic and old school Vale procurement is simply awful, slow, focused on lowest cost bidder, very political. Closely controlled by Brazil who have no idea about operating in Canada. Very little value placed on people. Safety statistics are pursued with a frothing at the mouth zeal, whilst missing the point that its about people and not statistics. Overall senior management is very poor, technically competent with little people skills.

ineffective management structure. Each manager are forced to takes on mutiple responsibilities. Very low morale. Cost cutting, even down to coffee expense! Demoted many employees, laid off many experienced long term employees.
