Pros

I wish I could say something positive about this company

Cons

- Very poor and unprofessional management - They act and speak like bosses and not like a leader who cares about you. - lack of transparency in all the levels of management. - Unqualified leaders and management. - Threatened to cancel the Christmas holidays couple weeks before the holidays. - Main/documentations/chats language is Russian not English. - Communist culture mindset. - Overtime is not paid. - The office in Prague is very grey and dead. - Uncompetitive salaries. - High hiring and firing rate (stuff renewal rate). You can’t get used to the people you are working with. - No afterwork or team-building activities. - No company benefits.

Hello, My name is Ralph, and I work closely with Wargaming’s HR teams. I’d like to thank you for your review because it allows us to understand and start conversations on how to improve Wargaming as an organization. It is unfortunate to hear about the experience you had on your team. Rest assured, your anonymous review has been shared with Prague’s HR and leadership. Currently, we’re developing a positive environment and culture for World of Tanks development in Prague. Additionally, our teams are having discussions and creating changes to our benefits offering to better support our Prague Wargamers. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts. It gives our team visibility on how we can improve in the future. Sincerely, Ralph

Pros

Somewhat relaxed working environment. Mid-End level computers.

Cons

Horrible management in every corner. Huge politics in the company, you can easily get eaten by a power tripping lead who wants to demonstrate power and gain a promotion. You will never get to increase your salary to your liking because apparently they decide your salary increase and you can't negotiate. Do you work hard to grow faster and do you give your 150% to the work so you can get that promotion while creating new projects and implementing great new ideas? Well that's cool and all but nobody cares. Can't compete with EA, Ubisoft, Google or Apple offices at all but apparently they advertise as they are the greatest in online MMO market (hint: they are not) They can ask you to do unpaid overtime since it is in the contract you are offered, and no they don't offer contracts without it.

They have lots of money, but no clue.

Pros

* Lots of benefits: private healthcare, bonuses, cookies etc etc * A lot of money invested to level the employes up: trainings, GDC, internal dev conferences, etc * They have enough money to make project of any scale

Cons

* Soviet development culture: if something went wrong, find someone to blame * Terrible management on all levels: people are promoted for their loyalty, even if they have no clue. A result of fast growth not having enough competent people. * Blinded by WoT success: rather than just admitting that World of Tanks appealed to new niche and that's main reason of it's success, WG tops decided that now they're immune to failure and are always right. One word: soviets. * Lots of politics inside the company. Combine it with "find one to blame" and you get the "Game of Thrones" mentioned in another review
