Pros

- mon to fri regular hours - 30,000 to a be a receptionist

Cons

-members are allowed to treat you however they like, you have to provide the best customer service, but to the point where you are not encouraged to stick up for yourself -management is a bit useless -structure of company means that as a community associate you are the lowest of the low and are basically there to do everything that managers are 'too good' to do, which means you spent a lot of time doing silly jobs or being spoken to badly by members because of your managers incompetence - if you work in a small building with more than one desk that needs covering, you will not be able to do things like go to the toilet or pop off the desk as there will be no one to cover you I would say that overall, WeWork sells you this dream when they hire you about how fun the position is and how inclusive and great the company is, when in reality, members and managers can treat you however they like and you are expected to put up with it because you are at the bottom of the food chain. I went to senior management about workplace bullying and nothing was done, they offered to support in a meeting with him to give him feedback but that was it? Victim blaming behaviour if you ask me. If you respect yourself enough, don't sell your soul to WeWork for 30,000 a year...

Pros

I have worked at WeWork for around 4 years and it's a good place to work and grow. You will be surrounded by great people and have a lot of opportunities to learn new skills and change your role if you are vigilant.

Cons

The company is very unstable and in the 4 years I worked there I've survived 4 round of brutal redundancies. The future of the company remains uncertain

Community is a Trap

Recommend
Business Outlook

Pros

Generous PTO, decent pay Previously generous health benefits, but starting in 2023 employees must pay in a substantial amount per paycheck Lateral coworkers in Community are amazing colleagues

Cons

Very difficult to move up - Community is treated like a training program rather than an actual professional role. You can apply for new roles after a year, but they low key expect employees to stick around in the same junior position for 4+ years until it's their "turn" to receive a change or promotion. Previous experience isn't really factored into promotion consideration. Most people eventually give up and go elsewhere. Community is not respected by other departments so teams are constantly begging for support to resolve simple issues while members grow frustrated over lack of resolution. Total lack of accountability in the senior leadership structure, or any real leadership / vision other than flailing around making budget cuts that hurt the member experience and make life difficult for Community teams who are already working hard each day on behalf of members.
