Pros

challenging engineering problems, work remote wednesdays from other wework locations in nyc, very fun culture, middle/direct management is really communicative, company feels like a special place to work at.

Cons

rest of company doesn't fully understand engineering, and there's no CTO. higher ups are far removed from the average software engineer.

Pros

Best set of coworkers I've ever worked with. They're all passionate and are some of the strongest and hardest working I've seen. Direct managers take things seriously and try to look out for their engineers. Company is growing, so regular engineers get more responsibility than they might otherwise get. Great place to learn and try out new technologies and ideas. Strongly believe in the customer, the product, and the overall vision of the company.

Cons

Some senior managers and execs are part of a special 'in' crowd and were given jobs beyond their abilities. It's not too problematic day to day, but the department could be run more professionally.

Pros

- Little to no actual work is required of you - Beer every where to numb your sorrows - Plenty of outings and trips and excursions to make you forget that you don't really matter - Unlimited sick days!! You still need to be "working" from home but yeah! You can call in sick at any time!!

Cons

- the buffoonery starts from the top down - the product (non) road map changes every day - expect to be interrupted with something urgent that needs to be done right now only to have it ignored after you completed it - career ladder is clearly defined and often repeated but has its rungs thoroughly greased with a giant ape throwing barrels at you - the management is considered a joke by the entire senior engineering team - the department has no real foresight or plan - the entire engineering team, especially the ones that's been there the longest is just waiting to cash in their options and leave - you are give 3 weeks of time off but are heavily suggested to take those weeks during the company designated weeks which effectively only gives you one week off
