Front Desk, Manager on Duty

Pros

pretty good job if you are going to college like I was. All of the management were pretty cool and helpful. Free gym membership for all staff. Just your basic front desk job. You can sell guest passes for commission. I got promoted to Manager on Duty after 6 months.

Cons

Working early in the morning sucks (5am-11am), I wouldn't recommend picking that shift unless you have to. You have to to wear a shirt and tie.

Pros

Free gym membership, shifts at nearly all times of the day or night (can be 24 hours depending on your location)

Cons

Little to no communication between departments, not paid nearly enough for our job responsibilities, no promotions/raises given to loyal and hardworking employees after years of work, upper management doesn't seem to care, high turnover of employees, not flexible with scheduling, other coworkers have voiced how much they hate this job and can be apathetic leading to a bad work environment, can be left alone without any management/upper-level employees for hours on a shift and emergency situations have happened with only a few lower-level staff at clubs.
