Pros

Allowed to work remotely during and after pandemic. Enjoy the people I work with, my manager is flexible with time off, doctor's appts, etc. and doesn't micromanage. We get a lot of PTO and holidays, with the exception of Good Friday and Christmas Eve (strangely). It's a great place to work overall, just terrible at advancement and salary.

Cons

I have requested a pay increase and/or title change for over 3 years. I am always told that my job description fits my title and the decision is not up to my manager. I have been doing 3 other people's work since 5 people left my department last year during the Great Resignation. They left because they were offered a larger salary from other employers. My salary is at least $20k below the average, but I stay because the PTO and benefits are good. I dread starting over after being with company for 14 years.

Pros

Depends on who you for. Can be very rewarding.

Cons

Can be torturous if you work for the wrong person. Too much work and not enough support. Systems are abysmal compared to similar companies.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Sometimes areas of the business can seem to be in a near-constant state of flux, managing an equally quickly changing industry. Although this can seem jarring, especially when your position or department is impacted by those changes, it can also be an opportunity for growth or understanding or expansion into new roles and skills. It's definitely not easy but at Wiley we do try to navigate those changes together.

Pros

The atmosphere among peers is excellent, and a lot of the people are really great, work/life balance is good as they're generous with PTO.

Cons

The managers are terrible, plenty of room for lateral moves but next to no growth opportunity, pay is below industry standard for many positions
