Pros

Yummly has a culture of hiring and working with people who strive to help each other succeed. Few seek glory on their own and those that achieve glory get there with the support of folks across many different teams and acknowledge that. Initiatives are interesting and often extremely challenging to solve which makes that beer at the end of the day taste so much better.

Cons

The current offices are split between two WeWork offices in Palo Alto and SF which has been a challenge to the culture. We're looking forward to our new space custom fit for the Yummly lifestyle: wide open; centered on food, drink and collaboration.

Pros

Yummly is a team of incredibly great people working on exciting problems relevant to almost everyone. What's not to like? The culture is humane and friendly, while at the same time valuing honesty and responsibility. The technical problems are many, varied, and challenging. The software stack is modern and evolving. Yummly is a great place to work as a software engineer, to grow, and to meet great people.

Cons

We are currently between offices, working from two WeWork locations, which makes things a little challenging. But we have found our next office and it's going to be amazing.

Pros

Yummly has a great friendly culture and often feels like a family. There are some very smart and talented people here. There are a lot of interesting data science and AI problems to work on (NLP, computer vision, search, recommendations) and a lot of opportunities to collaborate and have ideas turn into products. Yummly is in a really interesting position with an opportunity to disrupt the kitchen.

Cons

There are many opportunities in the smart kitchen space. While this can be exciting, Yummly would benefit from being more focussed on a few things.
