Pros

People at Zynga are genuinely passionate about their work and share a common vision of connecting the world through social games, and creating meaningful relationships for players. Zynga has great opportunities for growth and learning, especially for high performers. There is a strong “work hard- play hard” mentality across teams and people’s careers are rewarded tremendously. It’s a dynamic environment, surrounded with smart, driven, and motivated people. The office space itself is open and inspiring and they provide amazing benefits to reward employees (gym, 401K match, free food etc.). Benefits and salary are top-notch and highly competitive with other tech leaders in the Bay Area. It’s rare to find a company with such a strong culture and mission.

Cons

I feel very optimistic about Zynga’s future.

Pros

Good food Moderate pay Some good mentors and colleagues Some team trips and outings

Cons

You do not have a career growth. When I say it, I mean it. NO GROWTH AS AN EMPLOYEE. if you are good at licking your managers feet, you get promotions every year. But if you are a steady, work oriented employee, they wouldnt care the least for you. They work on old outdated technologies They copy game ideas and just re-skin it Producers are the boss here. They pull the cord and the developer has to dance according to them. Producer spends all day doing nothing, loafing around, ordering others to work and they get all the credit at the end of a project!. Strangely a culture seen in zynga only.

Pros

It is a good place for 3 kinds of people: you need industry and/or functional work experience, bullies, and longer term employees who want to hang out and vest. Cool office space. Zynga is a brand name that is great for your resume. With even <1 year of work experience you can learn a lot, re-brand yourself as a mobile professional in the entertainment industry, and gain digital/online experience. The culinary team is amazing with an incredible knack for keeping weekly happy hour events fun with new and creative themes. Assets: company-owned building and tons of cash in the bank. Will over-pay because they have a hard time recruiting talented people with so many other

Cons

Games are a reflection of the company culture: games are not fun and the games have no soul. Revolving door at all levels means that many work teams have no continuity. No compelling new products and markedly lower new game introduction with current leadership. Declining customer base. Many employees have very low productivity because they are learning on the job or they simply don't care and go with the flow . Addicted to "update" meetings largely for political reasons with no decisions, no real outcomes.
