Pros

Multinational Company which built a good portfolio.

Cons

Strong company values but had not been practices by the management (GBS Asia). E.g Hiring/Transferring/Promoting employees without going through proper interviews. Jobs scope is not what have been expected working in a MNC in a Sourcing/Procurement role. There are no Sourcing activities involve. The responsibilities are validating document, fill up any empty slots in the document, aligning words/fonts size, copy and paste words. This role does not require any procurement experiences (more like an admin/receptionist role). Unable to foresee career growth working for this position/department.

Good Benefits but Poor Culture and Cash Flow

Anonymous employee

Business Outlook

Pros

Salaries are at parity with the market. Benefits are some of the best, but for how much longer?

Cons

Since the Horizon disaster, I have not met anyone who now likes working for BP. Headcount cuts are too deep. Significant brain drain. The happiest employees seem to be the ones getting severance packages. Company continues to bleed cash at unsustainable levels. Drastic headcount, cost, and asset reductions while competitors are growing. Consensus culture inhibits qualified decision-making. Experts not listened to. Tons of processes that are rarely followed, especially HSE and quality. (Most is just market-facing window dressing developed by consultants.) Changing the portfolio strategy to ultra-deep water is a very long term and highly risky decision. It may make the traders happy for a while, but if the ROI is not big or fast enough, it's not a horse to bet on. Job positions are safer in Europe than in North America. Lots of talk of all or part of North America being sold, bankrupted, or shut down.

Pros

High Salary Amazing office Free cab

Cons

Heavily contractor based teams. The manager takes feedback from offshore contractors who will provide terrible feedback since they dont want india expansion. They will not help you onboard or provide support when asked and the managers are quite helpless
